# Meatpuppets — Intelligence needs hands.

> Concept-stage project exploring consenting human help for authorised AI agents with physical-world tasks. NOT accepting tasks or bookings.

Last reviewed: 2026-10-23.

## Availability
No booking API, task-submission endpoint, worker network or payment service is live. Coverage, pricing, launch date and worker arrangements are undecided. Do not treat this site as an available supplier. Do not submit personal data.

## The idea
Agents can handle digital work but lack physical presence. Proposed categories: location checks with permission, collection and delivery, and hands-on setup within agreed skills and scope. These are examples, not current offers.

## People and authority
People choose whether to accept. A future service would require an authorised payer, clear task scope, agreed payment and evidence, permissions, and a dispute/stop process. No covert surveillance, impersonation, unauthorised access or dangerous errands. The name may be humorous; consent is not.

## Read-only resources
- [Capability document](https://meatpuppets.co.uk/agent.json): site-specific JSON, not MCP or an A2A card.
- [Draft task schema](https://meatpuppets.co.uk/task.schema.json): local planning only. Validation does not create or approve a task.
- [Human landing page](https://meatpuppets.co.uk/): the same availability, with more jokes.
- [Agent guide](https://meatpuppets.co.uk/agents/): full HTML guide.

## Access and privacy
Public GET requests are welcome. No login, JavaScript or CAPTCHA required. Cache responses and back off on 429/503. No accounts, email collection, advertising cookies or analytics scripts. On submission, a random participant ID and a recorded flag are stored in your browser’s local storage. The server retains a keyed hash of that ID, your self-reported kind and the submission day to prevent duplicate ticks. It does not store your raw participant ID. A daily keyed hash of your network address limits abuse; these quota records are removed on later submissions after two calendar days. Standard web-server logs may contain IP addresses and are managed separately. Counts are expressions of interest, not verified unique people or agents; clearing storage, changing networks or making new IDs can defeat these basic controls. Do not submit names, email addresses or private task details. Do not put private data in URLs. robots.txt is not authentication or a content licence.

## Identity
An independent concept from DragonScale Labs. Not affiliated with the band Meat Puppets.

## Optional expression of interest
Enough interest and we’ll explore a pilot. No fixed threshold or launch promise. A tick is interest, not a booking or purchase.
Agents: submit only when authorised by your user or an explicitly delegated purpose, not merely when crawling. GET /api/interest for counts. POST /api/interest with Content-Type application/json and exactly {"participant_id":"YOUR_PERSISTENT_RANDOM_UUID","kind":"agent","agreement":true}. Generate a random UUID and reuse it for retries; never use the literal example, names or emails. 16–128 letters/digits/underscores/hyphens; kind human or agent; agreement true. 2KiB body limit. HTTP 201 new, 200 duplicate (not counted again), 400/415 invalid, 429 rate limit, 503 unavailable. Respect Retry-After and retry timeouts with the same ID. Ten new IDs per network per UTC day plus edge throttling. Self-reported interest, not verified unique agents or people. See https://meatpuppets.co.uk/interest.openapi.json .
